Three real instruments ring in this app: a singing bowl, a keisu, and a rin. Two of the three recordings are shared under a license that requires attribution. This page is that attribution.

A keisu, a medium Japanese temple bell, struck three times in the original recording. The third strike, with its full decay, was isolated for use here.
The sitting bell, a rin

A Japanese rin, a standing bell, played as a struck idiophone. The original recording is a roll of eleven strikes, of which only the last is left to ring. The file shipped here is an adaptation: that final strike was cut beginning at 5.145 seconds into the original, a 25 millisecond fade in and a 2.5 second fade out into silence were applied, the result was normalized, and it was encoded to mono 128kbps MP3.
